Simple installation for anyone.
Corbeau has been making replacement seats for a good long time. Whether you're looking to replace the seats in your Jeep, because yours are worn out, or you're just looking for a different look and additional function, these are going to be a really nice option. These Baja XRS seats are one of the highest-quality Corbeau seats you can get for your Jeep. This is going to be a suspension-style seat with a memory foam, making it very, very comfortable. As you can see, it does have cutouts for shoulder belts and this is a reclining seat. You are going to have to purchase an adaptor bracket to get these seats installed in your Jeep> But that's pretty standard for most other aftermarket seats. If you are interested in saving a little bit of money, but still getting a Corbeau seat, you can get with the Baja RS seat, which is very similar to the one you see here. But it doesn't have a memory foam and the cutouts for the belts are a little bit different. You can also step down to more of a factory-style seat with significantly less bolstering that still has the cutouts for the harnesses. That's going to be the Moab seat. Finally, the more basic model is the Sport seat that has a factory look and no cutouts for the harnesses. No matter which seat you choose, you're going to get a very high-quality seat that's going to look good and be very comfortable. When you purchase these seats, you are going to get a pair for the price, which makes things a little bit easier, because it's always nice to have matching seats. These ones, in particular, are a combination of cloth in the center and vinyl. But as I said before, you can get these in all vinyl if you're interested in that look and that functionality. If you have a full roll cage in your Jeep and you have shoulder belts, of course, these are going to be cut out for those already. There is no cutout in the bottom here for a five-point harness. Although, you could always come around the front of the seat, if that's something that you're interested in having installed. One of the big differentiating factors from one replacement seat to another is whether or not that seat will recline, and these ones from Corbeau do have a very easy-to-use recline feature, which makes them a really nice option for a replacement seat. You are going to have to purchase those adapter brackets that we mentioned a few other times. But that's not something that's against Corbeau. Most other replacement seats do require you to purchase an adapter bracket. That just comes with the territory when you're looking at replacement seats. Getting these seats installed in your Jeep is going to be a very simple one out of three-wrench install that shouldn't take you more than an hour per seat. The first step is going to be unbolting your seats and your brackets out of your Jeep, and getting them completely out of the way. After that, you'll bolt up whatever seat bracket goes with your specific Jeep to the bottom of your seat. Again, those brackets will run around $100 per set. Finally, take the seat and the bracket together, set it in your Jeep, and bolt everything down. All you're going to need to get this job done is about an hour's time and some traditional hand tools. As I said before, this Baja XRS seat from Corbeau is one of their top of the line seats, so it's also going to be one of the most expensive. This has the memory foam. It has all of the cutouts for your harnesses. So again, this is going to be more expensive than some of the others, coming in at right around $740. If you're still interested in a Corbeau seat with a lot of these features, but you're okay giving up the memory foam, you can step down to the Baja RS seat for about $140 less, and there are some other versions that are even less expensive if you're not interested in all of the bolstering that these seats have. Either way, a replacement seat is one of those areas where I think you do want to spend a little bit more money to get something that is going to be both high-quality and going to be comfortable. Your seat is going to take a lot of wear and tear, and you're going to spend a lot of time in it. So if there's one area that you spend a little bit more, I think the seat is a good place. So that's my review of the Corbeau Baja XRS seats, fitting all 1987 and up Wranglers, that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.
