Are their TWO adapters? I have an auto trans. The manual trans attachment is different. Thanks, Robert

      • The shift knob will come with one adapter. If you have an automatic, you will need the adapter.  If you have a manual, you most likely will not need the adapter.

          Glad I read reviews

I really like the look of this shifter knob on my Jeep. But I'm glad I read the reviews! Because of that I purchased the adapter along with the knob so I was able to install it without any hassles of waiting for another order, so I could drive my Jeep that day!

          Great knob, but needs adapter

I love the retro look and the feel of it in my hand when I’m changing gears. The only think I’d wish to change is that the adapter would be sold as a kit with the knob. This knob WILL NOT fit JK models without the adapter that you have to purchase separately.

          Looks good

Factory shift knob is easy to take off, look at the uTube videos, you'll see. Recommend you get the 'Shift Adapter' -it's all a little pricey, but I guess you only buy it once. I used the bottom clip from the 4WD factory shift knob and expoxy it to the bottom of the 'Shift Adapter' as you can see- makes it look a lot better. Wish they could make the product like that, it is a much cleaner look.

Too big and doesn't fit a woman's hand

If you're lucky enough to be with a woman that can drive a 6 speed manual transmission or you're a woman that owns your own Jeep with a manual right on! But you'll probably find this shifter knob to be just a little too large for their hands and the creased edge that gives it it's retro shape has a feel that's a little uncomfortable. Maybe I'm still accustomed to the stock one but after buying it and the adapter I know the money would've been better spent on something else more useful. I put the factory knob back on.
