Review & Install Video

This Barricade Rescue Receiver is for those of you that have an '87 and up Wrangler that are looking for a way to add a D-ring into your standard two-inch square receiver. This is going to be a very high quality bar, made of very high quality material, so it's gonna be a little bit more expensive than some of the other options out there. But if you're looking for something that's really gonna last and be lightweight, going this route, which is aluminum, is going to be a great choice for you. Now, this bar here is going to be a very simple one outta three wrench installation. This is something that's going to install in your jeep in less than a minute. So, like I said there are going to be a couple different bars out there like this one. A lot of them are gonna be steel. This one is T-6061 aluminum which is why it is gonna be little more expensive. The aluminum with this black anodized finish is going to hold up very, very well. Even if it does get some marring in the finish, you might get some oxidation because this is aluminum, but you're not gonna get any rust like you would with a mild steel tow bar. Again, it is going to have that black anodized finish on it. Of course, you have the Barricade branding right there. This is designed to accept up to a three-quarter inch D-ring. That is going to be sold separately. And you're also going to have to have a hitch pin, also separate, in order to hold this into your receiver. This installation, like I said, couldn't be any easier. Less than a minute. One outta three wrenches. Attach your three-quarter inch D-ring through the hole, slide this into your two-inch receiver, slide your hitch pin into place, and your're done. Because of the high quality materials that this is made out of, this tow bar is going to run you $100. There are some that are significantly less expensive. If you're interested in something that is just steel and powder coated instead of being aluminum and anodized and you wanna save some money, those options are out there. But if you're looking for something that's very, very high quality and you have the budget for it, this is gonna be a great option. So, if you're looking to use your two-inch receiver as a shackle mount for recoveries, I definitely recommend taking a look at the Barricade Rescue Receiver that you can find right here at

Bolt-On Cable Recovery. Playing in the mud is fun, but getting stuck in it is entirely another story. So be prepared with the right tools and a Barricade Rescue Receiver. Mounting onto your Wranglers standard 2 inch receiver hitch this Rescue Receiver is compatible with winch cables and ropes up to 3/8" in size and can accommodate 3/4-inch D-Rings. This convenient recovery tool will have you back on the trail in no time.

Superior Construction. Barricade CNC-machines its Rescue Receiver from 6061 T6 Aluminum for superior strength. Barricade then completes the Receiver in a black anodized finish for impressive good looks and long lasting corrosion resistance.

Simple Installation. Just remove your existing tow hitch (if equipped), slide the new Barricade Rescue Receiver in its place and secure it with the stock bolt and pin. Installation should take less than a minute.

Application. This Barricade Rescue Receiver is designed to fit all 1987-2019 Jeep Wranglers equipped with a 2-inch receiver, including YJ, TJ, JK and JL models.

Was hoping I'd never have to use it

I was hoping I'd never have to use it but I got stuck in a big mud pit and this stood up to me being pulled out by a 12,000 lb winch! Definitely worth the purchase
