The Artec Industries Front Inner Fenders - No Cutout - Vented are a great choice for your engine compartment and for your Jeep's overall appearance. These fenders are manufactured from lightweight, 1/16-inch CNC laser cut and bent aluminum for a precise fit. Artec Industries uses a proprietary A-blade stamping process to ensure rigidity. They ship in a bare unfinished aluminum state to allow you to choose how you want them painted.
. The laser cut vents work to keep your engine cool without requiring you to bolt on an extra piece of mesh material. These inner fenders cover the gap between the outer and inner sheet metal body to further protect it from dirt and debris. The extra bottom flange behind the wheel also helps to keep unwanted grime away from the gaps in the undercarriage.
Go Big or Go Home
. These inner fenders are fully compatible with trimmed OEM fenders. They also allow for much bigger tires to be mounted without any rubbing problems arising. This particular version of Artec's inner fenders was tested with 37-inch tires and no lift kit. No rubbing occurred with this setup. The fenders can also be easily trimmed for use with coilovers or bumpstops without damaging the vented area.
Some light-to-moderate mechanical skill is needed for this installation, especially since it requires some drilling. The first step is to remove the inner fender braces. You will have to drill and install the rivet nuts to fasten the inner fenders to the vehicle. After this, you will be installing the fenders from the back portion to the front carefully. Total install time is estimated at approximately 2 hours.
