Built from Hardy Materials. The chief material used in the construction of the Rugged Ridge Gloss Black Side Steps is 3” steel tubing. The wall thickness of this tubing is 0.109”, putting close to a quarter-inch of steel between your Wrangler and trail hazards in any direction. The nylon step pads are ultraviolet treated for durability, and each is secured with 5 pins. A slick gloss black powder-coat gives an eye-catching look and protects versus rust.

Drilling Needed (Self-Tapping Bolts). New holes need to be drilled in the Jeep’s frame in order to attach the Rugged Ridge Gloss Black Side Steps properly. Hardware is included, featuring self-tapping bolts that should NOT be machine tightened. The bolts should be torqued to 35-45 ft/lbs.
