Poison Spyder Hood Louver; Black (13-18 Jeep Wrangler JK)

Freeing hot air that would otherwise build up to dangerous levels under the hood, the Poison Spyder Black Hood Louver keeps your 2013-2018 Wrangler engine working when slow rock-crawling or trail speeds cause heat accumulation in the engine compartment. Hot, light air fountains out through the louver, pulling colder, denser air up from below to cool the engine and make the fan and radiator work more effectively. This lightweight but stiff aluminum louver also strengthens the flimsy sheet metal of the hood, too, while the louver gives your Jeep an adventurous, custom-modified look. The louver admits a little rainwater but this is not a problem for the engine.

Light but Strong. Black powder-coated for extra damage resistance and a tough look, the Poison Spyder Black Hood Louver features CNC laser-cut and die stamped aluminum sheet construction. When installed in the hood, its stiffness helps to reduce hood wobble or the flapping of the thin sheet metal. This one-piece precision part is protected by a 1 year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

Cut and Fit. The Poison Spyder Black Hood Louver is made for insert in a hole cut in your Jeep Wrangler's hood, attached with included stainless steel button head cap screws fastened into holes drilled around the perimeter of the main hole. The kit includes a template for exact placement of both cuts and drilling.

Application. This variant of the Poison Spyder Black Hood Louver is made to fit 2013-2018 JK generation Jeep Wranglers with the double windshield washer nozzle.
