Description
Practical Protection. Guarding the floorboard mounted plastic evaporative canister on the undercarriage of your 2007-2018 Wrangler is a task the Poison Spyder Evap Skid Plate excels at, putting 3/16-inch plate steel between this crucial component and the trail's many hazards. This Evap Skid has a ramp shaped front that makes rock, stumps, and other dangerous snags slide off harmlessly rather than ripping the evaporative canister away. It also gives side and rear protection, while leaving the canister in place rather than relocating it (since relocation can void the factory warranty and may generate diagnostic error codes), and doesn't require changing the vapor or electrical connections.
Built Rugged. Poison Spyder manufactures the Evap Skid Plate out of 3/16" thick steel, CNC laser-cut for exacting fitment and brake-formed for functional and attractive shape. The skid plate slightly raises the canister to increase ground clearance by 0.75" also, without disturbing function or attachments. This component is supplied with a satin black powder-coat finish for durability and rust-proofing, and is covered by a standard 1 year limited warranty from the manufacturer.
Bolt-On Installation. The Poison Spyder Evap Skid Plate can be easily installed using hand tools and has a bolt-on fitment for quick and handy attachment. The part comes with two complete sets of hardware for early and later generation JK Wranglers, plus a set of instructions.
